Purlieu

'Purlieu' is a tract of land on the border of a forest. Flamencos, frequently seen on the salt lakes of La Pampa, are taking off from a clearing in a forest. The trees on the right of the composition are eucalyptus trees inspired by an avenue of trees on the road to my house. I wanted to create the impression of the golden light that illuminates their white trunks as the sun sets. The billowing clouds are typical of the stunning skies that never cease to amaze me.
