Beyond the Rainbow

This painting was inspired by a painting of Giovanni Tiepolo that I saw at the museum of fine art in Buenos Aires. To the left of the composition there is a hummingbird suggesting a fleeting moment of joy and beauty, similar to the ephemeral nature of a rainbow. I decided that the painting should be diptych because it was important for me to suggest a simultaneous feeling of unity and separation.
