Between the Earth and the Sky

This multi-panel painting is composed of solid abstract shapes juxtaposed with fleeting clouds, rays of light, delicate butterflies and hummingbirds. Within this constant shifting and movement there are moments of repose and reflection. I had initially intended to create two separate paintings, but the composition gradually merged into one. By working with different panels I have a greater sense of freedom that leads to more experimentation.
