My interdisciplinary practice investigates the social and linguistic constructs that shape identity, history, and collective memory in the United States.
MessageThe End offers a stark metaphor for the fragility of environmental policy under political obstruction. Decorative panels lush with botanical life are partially veiled by stretched nylon hosiery, muting their vibrancy and evoking suffocation, distortion, and suppressed potential. The piece responds to the January 20, 2025, executive orders revoking climate protections and prioritizing fossil fuels. The taut stocking symbolizes fragile ecosystems under siege, restrained by political and economic barriers. A small globe, caught in the nylon, highlights the entanglement of profit and planetary well-being. Ornate framing and floral wallpaper hint at the decorative façades of policy rhetoric masking environmental harm. This work captures a nation in contradiction—preserving appearances while dismantling the systems that sustain life.
