My art practice challenges social and linguistic constructs in the United States through precisely crafted artworks organized into collections.
MessageExecutive Order 14210 combines wallpaper, metal, a paper weather balloon, and a plastic army man to critique the destabilization of public infrastructure, particularly climate science and national data systems. Referencing NOAA’s budget cuts and the firing of climate scientists, the piece becomes a visual lament and warning about systemic neglect, political sabotage, and the fragility of collective safety. The paper balloon, delicate and ephemeral, suggests the vulnerability of climate systems and the networks that track them. Suspended within rigid metal and plastic, it evokes military power and bureaucratic control. The nostalgic wallpaper backdrop hints at an American past unwilling to confront its ecological and political consequences.
