My art practice challenges social and linguistic constructs in the United States through precisely crafted artworks organized into collections.
MessageA sense of unease radiates from this assemblage, where fragments of bureaucracy, power, and vulnerability collide. Patterned wallpaper and curled scrolls suggest order, yet tangled black wires weave through the piece like invasive roots, binding records stripped of context, evoking identities trapped in a web of control. The central metallic element feels like both barrier and weapon, threatening intrusion. The work reflects the Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision granting Musk’s DOGE team sweeping access to sensitive Social Security records, overturning lower court protections. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s dissent lingers here: privacy dismantled in reckless haste, bureaucracy turned into an instrument of extraction. The lush backdrop masks a deeper violation, where legality and technology entwine to erode dignity, turning personal information into a battlefield for power.
