The creation of this piece involved the innovative use of duct tape cutouts placed over painted with pigment concentrate to create a relief design, which was then painted again to expose the layers beneath. The inner border blocks have been crafted through an unconventional piecing technique and free motion quilting throughout unifies the piece.
