This still life artwork is created through a combination of collage and thread painting techniques. Magazine and copy paper were dyed with disperse dyes, then torn and arranged to form the image and wide outer boarder. Thread painting was applied to add intricate details to the flowers, leaves, vase, and background. The inner border and binding are made from commercial cotton. Finally, the collage was layered and quilted using free motion techniques.
