"Dancing Vine / Nature's Misfit" explores the power of the "misfit" through the symbolism of organic, misshapen produce that dances with its own "wonkiness" yet hides it from view in order to appear "acceptable."

The brass gilding in this piece is an alloy that will age over many years. This effect is intentional to reflect the natural cycles of nature.

This piece was originally "Ancient Pod, Resting" (2007). Iit was reworked in 2011 and became "Dancing Vine / Nature's Misfit."
