This piece started as Elegant Dance, inspired by the fluid motion of squids in the sea. But something didn’t feel quite right. Back in the studio, I began peeling away the layers, trusting the process and letting go of overthinking. What emerged felt more honest—an intuitive balance of form and texture.

The 12 x 12 piece is set within the center of a plywood frame, built up with layers of paint, paper, and markings. I finished it with Gel Medium and a Cold Wax finish to protect the surface and add subtle depth. With each look, new lines and colors reveal themselves—shifting the experience every time.
