I began by mounting Arches cold-press paper onto 12 × 12 vinyl records, giving each piece a solid, sculptural base.
The bees were etched into a plexiglass plate and printed onto Japanese paper.
For the monotype layer, I worked with Akua Green Oxide, GOLDEN Heavy Body Green Gold, and—because creativity runs on caffeine—coffee. The printed bees and various Japanese papers were then layered over the background to build depth and texture.
