Inspired by the devastating wildfires that struck Los Angeles in 2025, this artwork was created using materials collected from a relative’s scrap bin. The piece was constructed on a wooden armature and features a random composition made from these cast-off materials, many of which contained nails. The nails were painted blue to symbolize compassion and support for the ongoing reconstruction efforts following the devastation. The artwork was completed in early February, and the total loss incurred has yet to be determined. This piece serves as a source of hope for those who have experienced such profound loss.
