If you’ve got hair like mine, you’ve probably heard “Can I touch it?” more times than you can count. And almost every time, the answer is no.
I made this piece to call out how uncomfortable — and honestly strange — that question can feel. Curiosity doesn’t override boundaries, and no one should be treated like something to be examined or handled.
The witch in this drawing gets to use magic to protect her space. In real life, we don’t get that luxury. All we have is the word “no” — and that should be more than enough.
This piece is about autonomy, humour, and setting boundaries without apology.
