Turtle’s Cove was inspired by a video I once saw of a woman sitting quietly on a rock, surrounded by sea turtles moving slowly through the water. The moment stuck with me because of how calm and unreal it felt like time had slowed down.
I made this piece using micron pen and watercolour, keeping the lines loose and the colours soft so the scene feels light and fluid. The water and turtles move around the figure naturally, without drama, just existing together in the same space.
This drawing isn’t about action or storytelling as much as it is about mood. It’s about stillness, being present, and that feeling of watching something beautiful unfold without needing to interfere. It’s meant to feel peaceful — like a small escape.
