“Ancestral Christmas Gathering” is a lap quilt that is sure to become a family heirloom. It combines Christmas fabrics with African fabrics for a truly unique holiday quilt.
“Ancestral Christmas Gathering” measures 64x76 inches. Although it is certainly large enough to be a lap quilt, the geometric pattern makes it a striking wallhanging. There is a hanging sleeve on the back to make it easy to hang.
I appliquéd words on the front of the quilt because I like words in quilts.😍They also carry out the theme of the quilt.
My friend Maxine Moore quilted ornaments and candy canes in the background of the quilt on her long arm quilting machine. A label on the back documents the quilt. I signed and dated it on the front.
