Reflection at Day’s End

“Reflection at Day’s End” reminds us to slow down and reflect on successes and failures each day. It is a quilted wallhanging that measures 42x42 inches.

“Reflection at Day’s End starts with the painted batik square in the center of the quilt. It depicts a small village at the end of the day. Gold paint adds light to the quilt. The middle batik square is framed by a pieced border in traditional fabrics and more borders in African and batik fabrics.

I chose pink hearts with gold metallic for the back of the quilt. I think it carries out the theme that meditation and reflection is part of being good to yourself.

There is a hanging sleeve on the back of the quilt for easy display and a label that documents the quilt.

I signed the quilt on the front in silver ink. This quilt is one-of-a-kind.
