This felt like a dream. It was a beautiful day with my children in Biarritz, where we gazed at the amazing sea creatures at the aquarium. They were awed by their movements, grace and colours, pressing their faces up against the glass. I was transported back to my own experience of being their ages, filled with curiosity, love and safety.

I recreated this moment, amongst objects of their choosing at home to assemble a family portrait. I like to capture moments that feel like nostalgic memories, where the dance on the fine line between grief and joy.
