This series, Water and Light, is inspired by the movement of water and its ability to evoke memories across time. As a child, I was captivated by the circular rhythms of water — wading through puddles in wellies, skimming stones, swimming, and watching light shimmer across its surface. As an adult, I’m drawn back to that same peace and familiarity, observing how children interact with water and feeling the pull of shared, generational experiences.
The work explores both serenity and disruption — like the ripples caused by a stone thrown into a still pond. It reflects on how clarity can shift and fracture, mirroring our search for calm amid life’s demands. At its core, Water and Light contemplates the circular nature of time and the way childhood impressions shape our adult reflections.
