Continuing to look at Miriam's faith-centered works...

This piece, "Behold, I Stand at the Door and Knock" is based on the well known biblical scripture from Revelation 3:20. The pastel collage of many doors and the scripture written on them was done in 1989 during China's Tiananmen Square protests. Chinese characters are featured on the different doors and the words "ni hao" which means "hello" in Mandarin at the bottom right, signifying Christ knocking on the door of every nation and people. Miriam would visit Taiwan, Hong Kong and Shenzhen in 1992 where her son Frank was studying.
