ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I was in Atlanta in a workshop of Albert Handell and the model we were supposed to draw just didn’t look that interesting to me. So, I turned my easel around and did a pastel of a linen cloth between two columns. It reminded me of when Peter went to the tomb.
