Steel Creek flows from the National treasure the Buffalo River. The stillness of this reflection in this spot was at odds to what I was experiencing behind the camera. I did not remember feeling bruising river rock beneath my feet and soon after I found I had to literally dig myself up water soaked sand with me thinking this must be similar to quicksand. In the process I soaked my second sock and shoe of the day.
However do you ever see a special place to photograph and it isn't until years later that you realize the what a treasure it is? It was worth it.
