This piece was created as part of an exhibition for the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History. There was a photograph from 1920 of a woman that was over one hundred years old in the museum's collection. The woman was sitting at the corner of Branciforte and Water St. in Santa Cruz, CA. She was reported as being a flamenco dancer for the troops of Branciforte during the Mexican-American war. This pot represents the spirit of the woman in the picture.
