Giselle. Full face mask used in performances by Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ of Chandler, AZ. Its eyes are painted with a pink floral design reminiscent of the sugar skull style. Its nose is dark purple, and its teeth are outlined in purple and pink. The forehead has a large pink V design with two green droplets underneath a yellow dot, and a horizontal blue line above it to the sides are pink swirls with blue dots at the center. The cheeks have green lines with yellow dots in between, the chin has a blue dot just below the teeth, and a horizontal line in purple underneath two green dots just above a pink W-shaped design.
It is made of plaster bandage and paper clay, painted with acrylic paints and ribbon, which ties the mask to the performer.
These masks are part of the Performance Collection, which contains pieces available for loan to use in community and artistic performances.
