Calaca #80. Full face mask used in performances by Arizona theater and dance companies. It is squared off at the forehead. Outlining the eyes are blue sunlight designs with golden dots from the ends. At the center of the forehead is a large yellow circle with a gym at the center and two smaller green circles on either side. The nose is bright purple, and the teeth are outlined in pink and purple, and on the chin is a matching sun-shaped design with yellow dots coming out of the ends and a rhinestone at the center.
It is made of plaster bandage and paper clay, painted with acrylic paints and ribbon, which ties the mask to the performer.
These masks are part of the Performance Collection, which contains pieces available for loan to use in community and artistic performances.
