Axé V. Full-face calaca skeleton mask made of plaster bandage and paper clay, painted with acrylic paints and ribbon, which ties the mask to the performer. Used by Axé Capoeira AZ during their drum processions at Cultural Coalition festivals. These masks are part of the Performance Collection, which contains pieces available for loan to use in community and artistic performances.
Orange plus + sign on the forehead with a blue circle with orange outline beneath it. Two orange swishes going up and two lines coming down on either side of the circle and plus symbols. Orange eyebrows coming down around the sides of the eyes. Geometric orange line swirls coming from eyes to cover cheeks. Thin blue lines along temples, and around nose. Blue dot on chin. Orange dots on divot below nose and on either side of mouth. Orange upside down W on chin. Pink and blue outlined teeth.
