Calaca #95. Full face mask used in performances by Primavera Ballet Folklorico of Phoenix, AZ. It is painted with an orange outline around the eyes, going down into a swirl pattern on the cheeks. The four head has a swirling V-shaped pattern with a blue diamond at the center with a red gem inside the diamond. The tip of the nose is light purple the teeth are outlined in pale purple and pink. On the cheeks are blue swirl designs. The chin has matching yellow and blue designs similar to the forehead, with a blue gem at the center of the chin.
It is made of plaster bandage and paper clay, painted with acrylic paints and ribbon, which ties the mask to the performer.
These masks are part of the Performance Collection, which contains pieces available for loan to use in community and artistic performances.
