An old adobe surrounded by sagebrush offers the traveler a warm welcome beneath a line of mountains. While I'm always inspired by the high desert between the Rio Grande Gorge and Taos, New Mexico (my photo reference for this one), this feeling comes to me anywhere mountains and sagebrush meet sky.
