While spending the winter in Baja, I had a thought of beading the simple mounted horns I had seen, rather than the entire animal skull. Figuring that the time required to bead the smaller, even surface would take less time and material, and allow me to create a beautiful piece that might be more accessible to a wider audience.
I found these mounted horns at Clear Creek Trading in Sedona on my drive home from Mexico.
I enjoyed the somewhat quicker turnaround on this pieces, and the ability to created one focal point.
