I had the inspiration for Bullwinkle Blue when I visited Clear Creek Trading in Sedona in spring of 2024. I spotted this old moose rack mounted on a traditional skull form on a plaque. I've always done the actual skulls, but finding a moose skull is not a simple task. When I spotted Bullwinkle, he had obviously been mounted on the wall at Clear Creek for many years - based on the condition of the wooden plaque and the skull form. When they removed him from the wall - the wall reflected the faded outline of the trophy. I loved taking him home and giving him a new life. I doubt Bullwinkle Blue will hang unnoticed on any old wall now that I am finished with him!
