Without Title 2

This drawing is part of a series, "Without Title," that was inspired by my interest in the place names indigenous people gave their land. Almost invariably, these names described features of the landscape, unlike those imposed later by colonial invaders. The drawing was in the flatfiles of the Kentler International Drawing Space (Brooklyn, NY), but was removed (and framed) for my large scale exhibition in the Main Gallery, Index Art Center, Newark, NJ, Sept-Oct 2017.
