The text is from "Central Park," a poem by Rosanna Warren about the making of Central Park. It treats Frederick Law Olmstead's desire to create a truly democratic space after visiting the South and witnessing the Civil War as a journalist. The photo is from October 2017, when it was part of my multi-piece show in the Main Gallery, Index Art Center, Newark.
