This piece was originally shown in Storylights, my 28 piece, 6 month long, exhibition in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the New York Public Library, on 5th Avenue & 40th Street. It has been shown in many exhibitions since. In 2017, I changed the LED controllers and adjusted the color (image #1). Image #2 shows the piece as exhibited originally, with the lights of 5th Ave reflected. The glass disc hanging in front of the piece slightly alters the vertical image when one looks through it, and adds all sorts of interesting reflections. It is truly a piece about observation, hence its tilte.
