- A Misunderstanding
Yes, I know it’s not very original for me. I’ve done 2 or 3 other spaceship interiors. But, I just like how the lighting looks, especially the under-lit faces of the people. WHy are they looking at a 1933 Ford on the hologram table? I could easily come up with several stories. But, basically it’s just a way to have a classic car drawing in a creative background.
The women fighting in the background: I just wanted something going on in that empty area back there. I considered a number of things and finally settled on that. There is a guy recording the “cat fight” on his phone. That was the first laugh. The second time I laughed was at Uncle Creepy floating in space. I first thought of having him in a spacesuit but it’s funnier without one. Someone opened the airlock and flushed him into space. He was just being too weird, lurking in the shadows, staring at people, sulking in the halls all hours of the night, so someone staged an “accident.”
The yellow light at the bottom left came out nice, didn’t it? It needed something bright in that dark area. The shadows and highlights came out well, I think. The little girl is saying, “Mommy, why is kitty burying his poop?”
I want to title this “A Misunderstanding” referring mostly to the women fighting. But, I also put an angry commander as if he’s disagreeing with something. He could be saying, “This is an expensive piece of equipment and you’re using time and resources to look at old cars? Now, shut it down and get back to work!” Hey, maybe it’s a meeting of a group of vintage car enthusiasts.
