I recently heard a scientist explain that when we're in between not knowing and knowing, we build resilience through our frustration. That seems to me akin to being lost. The more we stay in that in between, she stated, the stronger we become. Similarly, I like to think that when we're in a "passing through place" between what we know and something new, we can find moments of clarity if we stay a little longer in that place. When I'm hiking a new trail, not sure what to expect, I stop frequently. Silence and sunlight are sometimes all I need, and this painting pays tribute to that .
