I wanted to create a soft painting to share that hazy feeling of being lost that depicts the fogginess that can threaten to envelop you. As I blended colors and smudged edges with my fingers, I began seeing that path in the shadows and beyond them distant edges rimmed with light. Recalling an early morning hike I was on recently, I remembered slowing down and noticing the beautiful cacti hidden in those shadows. That softly blurred light along the tree line comforted me and beckoned me forward.
