Gratitude series
Hometown is my tribute to the places that shape us — the ones woven with memories, comfort, and a sense of belonging. I’m lucky to still be able to return to the town where I grew up, and this autumn I went back to celebrate a family milestone.
The painting grew from a walk I took with my brother as we wandered along the city’s renovated river walk. The air was crisp, the trees glowing with autumn color, and everything felt both familiar and beautifully fresh. It was one of those perfect fall days that reminded me how grounding it is to revisit the places that first held us.
Oil on linen with painted wrap around sides, unframed.
