Pastel of Ardvreck Castle, an abandoned medieval site in Sutherland, Scotland. It was originally built in the 16th century, and occupied by the Macleods and later the Mackenzies.

Historical and ancient places intrigue me. I often think of those who lived there at one time, and how much these places reflected and affected their way of life.
