Message“Problem Identification | Isolation from Resources” visualizes the disconnection experienced by individuals and communities facing persistent material hardship. Through layered collage and distressed textures, the work conveys social barriers, erosion of opportunity, and the weight of systemic inequity. Moving figures evoke human determination, while opposing arrows suggest fractured access between personal environments, social systems, and essential resources. The descending horizon line reinforces the sense of regression, both personal and societal, that results from sustained isolation.
Part of the MyPOP (My Print on Poverty) collection, this work examines social mobility and the contradictions between idealized prosperity and lived experience. Through visual metaphors of fragmentation and perseverance, the series challenges stereotypes of poverty and exposes the complex forces that shape opportunity and resilience.
The surface is coated with a malleable wax texture, symbolizing preservation and transformation. Distressed collage elements act as narrative devices; representing obstacles, decay, and the enduring struggle to reconnect with the structures of support essential to growth.

For me, creating has always been a companion, allowing me to make sense of seemingly uncontrolled situations through controlled mediums.
