Message“Stage 4 | Immersion” speaks to the critical need for reinforcement within the family unit. A unified, stark family becomes the focal point, representing the strength of relationships that sustain growth. The child, symbolizing education, is placed at the center, underscoring its vital role in shaping the future. A descending horizon line introduces tension, suggesting ongoing vulnerability to external pressures, while the distressed surface conveys the weight of challenges that lie ahead.
Part of the MyPOP (My Print on Poverty) collection, this work examines social mobility and the contradictions between idealized prosperity and lived experience. Through visual metaphors of family, fragility, and endurance, the series exposes the complex social and political structures that shape opportunity, offering both critique and compassion.
The surface is layered with a malleable wax texture, symbolizing change and preservation. Distressed collage elements serve as storytelling devices; embodying obstacles, erosion, and resilience within the climb toward stability.

For me, creating has always been a companion, allowing me to make sense of seemingly uncontrolled situations through controlled mediums.
