I have temporarily lost my reference but worked from a photo I took from an art book on colonial art. Will update this description as soon as I locate my original source. That being what it is, I like and am inspired by the colonial genre, especially the figurative battle scenes and portraits. Hope to do more "modern" versions of these colonial portraits in the future. I have already painted George Washington, Lincoln, and other American heroes.
