"The Monkey Dance" is a fiber piece that includes freehand machine stitching. A Crow headed a figure is a freehand machine stitched drawn on cotton that is then appliqued and reinforced stitch on to Toile decor fabric. A heather plant is also a freehand machine stitched for the outlines and for the color filling. The Brown pelican is freehand machine stitched, layering colors to create the illusion of depth with thread. a piece of red felt is appliqued over the monkey's eyes. The Final piece is stretched onto an 18" wooden round piece that is then framed in an 18" vintage wooden embroidery hoop. Another 18" wooden disc is then mounted on the back for durability. A D-ring is on the back for hanging. The piece is signed and dated.
