"Vision of the BlueBird" is a fiber piece that features freehand machine stitching and painting. A reclining figure is a freehand machine stitched on cotton that is then appliqued and reinforced stitch on to Toile decor fabric. A coneflower plant is also a freehand machine stitched for the outlines and for the color filling directly on the toile. The Eastern Bluebird is freehand machine stitched, layering colors to create the illusion of depth with thread. Flowers are freehand machine stitched onto felt that is then appliqued onto the fabric.
The Final piece is stretched onto a 27" X 18" oval wooden, vintage embroidery hoop.
