"Jenny and the Wren" is a fiber piece that includes freehand machine and hand stitching. A figure is a freehand machine stitched drawn on cotton that is then appliqued and reinforced stitch on to Toile decor fabric. A hibiscus plant is also a freehand machine stitched for the outlines but hand embroidered for the color filling. The wren is freehand machine stitched, layering colors to create the illusion of depth with thread. The Final piece is stretched onto a 14" wooden round piece that is then framed in 14" vintage wooden embroidery hoop. Another 14" wooden disc is then mounted on the back for durablity. A D-ring is on the back for hanging. The piece is signed and dated.
The piece measures 14"' x 14".
