Farrell Scott is a Sacramento based award-winning photographic artist and instructor interested in the exploration of architecture, urban landscape, and agriculture. To challenge herself photographically, she enjoys exploring the waterways of Sacramento and Yolo creating night images any time of year or weather. In 2019, she completed a month-long artist in residence program at GilsfjördurArts in Westfjords, Iceland, where she concentrated on long and double exposure techniques using neutral density filters.
Recognized for the natural light quality of her images and designer eye when it comes to composition. She strives in her work to both maintain the artistic perspectives and characteristics of traditional photography as well as incorporate innovative technology.
Armed with over 25 years of marketing and design experience, Farrell approaches every enterprise from a marketer’s understanding and an art director’s keen eye. Her varied background and travels all make their way into her work.
Farrell is a regular workshop instructor at the Crocker Art Museum and Viewpoint Photographic Arts both in Sacramento and holds a degree in Theatre and certification in Photography.
