There was a lot of mixed companionship on the beach one afternoon. Adult and juvenile Gulls, adult and juvenile Terns, Sandpipers, Plovers and an Oystercatcher were standing at the shoreline together and staring out to sea.

Of all the photos I took, the one of an adult and juvenile Gull and a Tern stood out at me and I had to paint it.
