I created High Tide Nocturne, a 6x8" oil on Gessobord plein air painting while on vacation to Georgetown, Maine. I tried to express the evocative nighttime tonal harmonies in the cooler color range, the pink haze around the moon and shimmering Atlantic Ocean. With so much water in my view, I loved the idea of a safe haven across the bay.
