MessageWarm tropical air had moved into Monhegan Island and the coastline of Maine. I thought it might be cooler with a breeze on the East side of the island so I carried my gear into Lobster Cove hoping to find a spot to paint. The day before I had stood in full sun while painting so today, I searched for a shady area in which to paint. There is little shade to be found in Lobster Cove. I found a footpath which headed out of the cove and discovered it went through a 20' area shaded by pine trees. It was there on the side of the path with a view of the last cove before the trail winded onward to Gull Cove that I painted Leaving Lobster Cove.
