Dianna is energized by capturing the essence of light en plein air with oils expressing subtle color shifts creating interpretations of those ethereal moments.
MessageThis was the third day of tropical air surrounding Monhegan Island, Maine. I decided the back side of the island might be cooler with 1000 miles of open ocean crashing into the 150 foot cliffs. On the trail, I came across this view and decided to paint Christmas Cove. I was inspired by the surf breaking on the rocks. The high cliffs will have to wait for another day.
