Dianna Anderson
Dianna is energized by capturing the essence of light en plein air with oils expressing subtle color shifts creating interpretations of those ethereal moments.
MessageI painted 'A Place to Be' while visiting Indian Point, Georgetown, Maine during an August painting trip. "The evening light was so inviting that I was motivated to capture a sense of the place. There is something special about that location which I needed to convey.
Sometimes selecting the right title for a painting can be a challenge so she often enlists the help of her friends. This title was chosen by a dear friend who said that the painting looked like "a place to be." Two weeks later while considering a theme for a solo show in August of 2019 at the Brickstore Museum in Kennebunk, Maine, Dianna decided that title would also make a great theme for the exhibit.
