This piece has been with me since 2020. I started it back then but never finished — I had simply lost the connection, the idea behind it. In 2024, I decided to return to it and created a new base layer of grey and white to make space for a fresh beginning.
As that layer began to dry, the original marks and colors started to shine through — in a way that surprised and touched me. At that moment, I knew I had to preserve the tender, soft atmosphere. I began to draw — gently, intuitively, with fine lines unfolding like petals. The result is a delicate interplay of structure and lightness, of past and present.
DELICATE PLAY OF LINES (CONEFLOWER) is a work about rediscovery, letting go, and trusting the process. And I truly love what emerged from it.
